PURPOSE
Mbangi Foundation (“MF”) was established in 2015 by Lelethu Mbangi as a special purpose vehicle to carry out corporate social investment of businesses related to him. MF is a Non-Profit Company and a Public Benefit Organisation (“PBO”) registered as such with the South Africa Revenue Services.
Our main focus is to drive and lead change in society by Implementing Corporate Social Investment programes relating to;
- Education
- Healthcare
- Poverty Relief
In Education MF:
- Financially assist students who want to enroll into Higher Education institutions by funding registration fees and or tuition fees including accommodation. MF gives priority to disadvantaged students seeking to enroll in previously disadvantaged universities.
- Donate or contribute towards basic education by distributing learning materials in schools. MFs’ main targeted areas are but no limited to Rural Kwa Zulu Natal, Rural Eastern Cape and disadvantaged communities in Gauteng.
- Talk about giving pads to girls for hygiene health
- Aims to identify crèches and clinics where there is a need for assistance in terms of resources and financial aid to improve the state of these spaces for the betterment of the community at large.
In Healthcare MF:
- Aims to work with clinics and hospitals to identify patients within communities who need financial assistance with specialized operations, specialist treatment, medical equipment and artificial limbs, wheelchairs etc.
- Aims to work with Provincial Departments of Health to support rural clinics and hospitals by donating medical diagnostic equipment and assisting in funding initiatives for capacitating and developing specialised hospitals to treat conditions such as Tuberculosis and Diabetes.
In Poverty Relief MF:
- Aims to provide poverty relief by adopting existing organizations i.e. orphanages, homes and assist financially and contributing food, clothing and any other resource required by the organisation. By doing this MF wants to keep track of the progress of the said organisation and to keep track of how the lives touched have improved as a result of its involvement.
